Your journey begins with a scenic three-hour hike into our remote Mount Romulus base camp, nestled deep in the heart of the Rockies. As you hike along forested trails, through alpine meadows and past clear mountain streams, our trail horses and a horse-drawn wagon will carry all your camping gear and backpacks. It’s the ultimate backpacking experience—minus the weight. At base camp, you'll find your gear waiting for you, along with spacious walled tents outfitted with cots. Enjoy delicious, hearty meals prepared by our cook, then spend your evening gathered around the campfire swapping stories, stargazing, or simply soaking in the peace and quiet of the backcountry. This weekend adventure includes: A 3-hour hike leading you into the backcountry Horse and wagon support for all gear and supplies Comfortable accommodations in walled tents with cots and some with wood stoves Freshly prepared meals and snacks throughout your stay Campfire evenings with storytelling, stargazing and camaraderie Optional guided hikes to nearby lookouts and trails Ideal for couples, friends, small groups, or large groups.
